Incredibly, Eli's 2-month birthday was THE FIRST day in his short life that we didn't have ANY plans with family or friends. It was just the Vink family unit! Not surprisingly, we didn't do anything spectacular, but it was nice to have a day to get into our own groove.
Eli is smiling and gurgling at us, which is just as fabulous as everyone said it would be. He's a sweet, happy baby who has been giving his momma the gift of 3.5+ hours at a time of sleep for much of this past week! This is an incredible change from the week before when he (apparently) went through a growth spurt and thought waking up to see each hour throughout the night might be fun. Wednesday is his 2-month appt. where he will receive his shots. Thankfully, his dad will be accompany us because his momma will most likely be in hysterics.
We are looking forward to a short work week for Michael and Eli's first Thanksgiving!
