The night before Thanksgiving, Eli slept 5 hours straight. That's what Momma was thankful for. :) Thank goodness for the sleep - Eli had a busy day! He spent the morning with his dad's family, socializing for a little bit and then sleeping through the meal and the rest of our time there. He continued sleeping during the drive to my mom's, where she had an open house for family and friends. Eli met some new cousins and friends and enjoyed being held by anyone. He showed off his new skills in his Bumbo seat. I'm not sure how we got such an easy-going baby, but it is wonderful!!
Eli is growing like crazy. Today I managed to squeeze him in to a newborn outfit. The pants and the sweatshirt are slightly short, but he doesn't seem to mind. He talks to us and smiles at everyone all the time. I've started introducing some of his toys, which he kind of shoves in to his mouth. He's more interested in his fists.
We've been dealing with the snow up here but we DON'T like it! Even though Eli might not be able to articulate his distaste for the snow, let me assure you that he hates it like Momma does. It is quite a production just to take Buzz for a walk. Interestingly enough, on the same night that the first snow fell, Eli slept 7 hours! I thought it might be a fluke, but since then (for a whole week now), he has slept 6 or more hours at a time. I got my present early this year. :)
