House!

Now, I'd like to preface these pictures by saying that we by NO means condone the taste/decor/style (or lack thereof) of the previous owner (who was, it seems, AT LEAST 150 years old). We are pleased with some of the results that we are seeing, like paint...which DID make a difference!! My dad is working on the dishwasher this week and we'll finish up painting the guest room, hall, cabinets. We ordered a new front door today. Don't judge us because we're excited about a new door!! :) More changes to come...for sure!! So there's the master bedroom avocado carpet (and by the way, when we pulled up that carpet, the padding had a sticker for the installation date: Sept. 7, 1971 - and I am not even kidding. That is 2 days less than 10 years before I was born!!) and then the oak floors underneath! Love them! That is really me pulling out carpet staples. Another beautiful oak floor - this was covered with lavender carpet. Guest room with orange carpet, linoleum under that to be replaced with carpet soon, and the crown jewel - the kitchen!! I guess I'll have add paint pictures in another post bc it's not seeming to load more...is it just me?
