We have been working SO HARD on the house and it is FINALLY starting to look like the beach house I had envisioned. I know I will love it even in the middle of sick winter. :) Michael and I have been there every weekend since we closed, and nearly every day after school, but my fabulous dad has been putting in more time than anyone! Yesterday was "moving big stuff day", and Michael's dad drove over to my dad's house with a HUGE covered trailer . Once we got to our house, Michael, his dad, my dad, my mom, and my stepdad unloaded everything. (I highly recommend moving when pregnant...I'm just saying...) Michael's mom came and painted some registers for us. My brother and his girlfriend arrived in the afternoon and were also a HUGE help cleaning and organizing. Michael mowed the lawn with our new lawnmower because we were tooooootally the neighborhood hillbillies. Dishwasher is new and newly installed (thanks Dad!) and hardware and necessary doors are on! Adam replaced the magnets on the cupboard doors... who even has magnets on their cupboards anymore? Anyone? Living room still needs TV and stand(opposite the picture window), our console table, and shelves, but I adore our new chairs. :) Mom, Scott, and Veronica had to okay the picture placement with me. We brought Buzz up there today, and he is actually not that impressed with his new home. There are a few more cosmetic things to be done but it's been an amazing transformation in 5 weeks! Not the final product, but closer than ever!! :)
Love the house, Meryl! Yes, moving while pregnant is the best. I was pregnant when we moved to New Jersey and am pregnant as we prepare to move back to the midwest (sorry John...no, I take that back...the puking more than makes up for my lack of ability to lift).
